What to do with cheap chocolate?

I received a bunch of plain Hershey's kisses from a well-meaning gift giver this Christmas. I'm a horrible snob about chocolate so won't eat them as-is, but I can't bear to waste food. Anyone have a suggestion for transforming these things into something delicious?

Two words: Break room. If you work in an office or someplace with a break room, set them on the table. They'll be gone before you know it.

Short of that - melt them and dip pretzels into them.

Melt three or four in a mug of hot milk and they make a good hot chocolate. For a Mexican hot chocolate, add some cinnamon and froth with a "molinillo" (sort of a wooden whisk that you quickly spin between your palms).

Save & pass out to trick or treaters next Halloween.

i have a dear friend who lives in paris, where there is a first rate chocolate shop on every corner. the last time i visited, i asked what i could bring her. she wanted hershey's kisses! go figure...

I give those to Hubby and he takes them to work and the hard working carb driven eat them.

Take them to work. Or, as JEP suggested, save them for Halloween. (I have this fear that my children are going to be horrible snobs on Halloween and that they won't eat any of the crappy chocolate they get in their little pumpkin pails, save for anything Reese's ;)

Lots of people really are nostalgic for those peanut butter cookies with the Hershey Kiss planted in the center. You could try making up a batch and giving them out as tokens of, well, affection, of sorts. I'd eat them....

I enjoy a cafe mocha or cappuccino now and then - you could melt a couple in a cup, before adding the espresso, which would be the major flavor. Once you've added the milk or cream, you could dust with a high quality cocoa powder or cinnamon.

you can make a batch of peanust butter cookies, and put one kiss on top of each cookie.

Moibec & beth1 beat me to it. I just whipped up a batch of peanut butter cookies with a Kiss in the center of each one. Took them to a pot-luck Christmas party and they were gone. The other fancy-schmancy desserts were left!! OR...bake them in mini muffin tins instead.

I too am a chocolate snob but sometimes the kisses hit the spot. If you REALLY dont want 'em I agree with #1, bring them to work, I guarantee they wont last till the end of the day. Or yeah the peanut butter kiss cookies are good :)
