What 3 comfort foods do you always have on hand?
I'm a simple person & easily comforted by any of these 3:
cinnamon sugar to sprinkle on hot buttered toast
thick-cut rolled oats for a big bowl of hot oatmeal
eggs for poaching
When feelin' blah...do you have at least 3 comfort foods on hand for an immediate fix?

my ultimate comfort meal is pappardelle with freshly grated parmesan cheese and lots of butter in which garlic has been slowly poached until it is translucent.

I am horribly embarrassed but #1 is Spaghetti-Os with Meatballs. After that, hmmmm?
Ice Cream, but I tend to not keep it on hand because I will eat it all. But a good substitute is my third choice which would be Chocolate Milk.

I can't keep it on hand, but I love to go to Smoothie King and get a Hazelnut Coffee Smoothie. Or, I'll run and get a Cafe au Lait or Cappucino somewhere. On hand though, I have to have apples, hot cocoa, and Kashi products. Those foods can cheer me up no matter what!
