The Box-O-Love is posted on SE Flickr group.
I finally took a pic of my Christmas Cookie box. Smitten Kitchen's suggestions for camera and lense were spot on.

Deb and Alex are the best at dispensing advice on food photography.
They shared their method and madness http://smittenkitchen.com/2007/11/our-approach-to-food-photos/
worth having a look at if you are thinking of photographing your Serious Eats.

Gorgeous.
It would make a great Christmas card, too! :)

Amazing Jerz! Can you describe what the cookies are? BTW, I'd love to have you send this box my way :)
JEP at 12:23PM on 12/23/07
WOW! It looks like there are at least 25 different things in there?!?! You're amazing!

There are 18 kinds of cookies (a few repeats in the box) this is my standard love you box for one of our dear neighbors. It weighs a little over 6 pounds.
I had hopes to do more but am satisfied with what I have at this point. There are the following in the box:
top left L to R
Kourabiedes (greek walnut wedding cakes)
Quaker oats recipe Oatmeal with drunken (in dark rum) raisins
Gingerbread ladies and gents (Nick Malgieri recipe)
Decorated Cream Cheese cut outs
Outrageous Brownies (Barefoot Contessa recipe)
Next row L to R
Peanut Butter Crisscrosses (Dorie Greenspan)
Chocolate chips
Repeat Oatmeal
Crumari (aka Cornmeal Cat's Tongues)
Ribbon Cookies
Italian style almond macaroons (not so pretty but very good)
Next row L to R
Chewy Chunky Blondies (Dorie Greenspan)
Cocoa Espresso Biscotti with hazlenuts
Repeat Peanut Butter
Repeat Choc chips
Orange Almond Biscotti
last row L to R
Shortbread
Jam Thumbprints (blackberry, raspberry, apricot)
Pignoli cookies
Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons
Fudge Cookies with Peppermint pieces
Thank you all for your kind words. Maybe next year we can do a cookie exchange where you take the person off the top of the list and mail them your cookies. I think it would be fun. I owe the great pic to my Canon Rebel XTi (an early christmas gift from Hubby).

Thanks Jerz! I do like your cookie exchange idea, too! You are a fabulous baker & all around cook:) BTW, do you ever sleep (ha!)--- how do have enough time in the day to accomplish all of this?
JEP at 3:36PM on 12/23/07
That is very impressive! You have very lucky neighbors. I love to give tins of cookies also and I think that a SE cookie exchange would be so much fun next year. Merry Christmas - I hope that you saved a few for you and yours!

Jerz - first of all...wow. That is a gorgeous assortment!
Nick Malgeri's Ging is my favorite recipe for gingerbreads. Even die-hard gingerbread haters love them.
I'm sure anyone who receives this beautiful gift will feel VERY loved! :D

Jeez, Jerz... just THINKING about making all those cookies has me exhausted. I think I'll go take a nap!
LoCo at 2:15PM on 12/26/07
Now I see what you meant when you were saying that people know they are loved when they get this parcel...:-)

@JEP you must have seen the times of my posting, I am a long term insomniac. Ever since I was a toddler. I sleep in naps often. So yes I hardly ever sleep. Baking tires me out. I unwind that way
@chiff coming from you I am flattered. I want to see pics of what you been baking. We baking folks have to non-stick together.
I start my baking right after Thanksgiving and I do a few kinds per day. Anyone can do it with a plan and a schedule.
Let's work on doing the cookie exchange for next year. I want someone to share their love with me.
