The beercan-in-the-butt chicken done six ways!
Some of the guys at thescrabbled cooked six beercan chickens six different ways with six different beers and we want to do more! Here's what we've done so far:

Does anyone have any other suggestions for interesting beers, rubs, or combinations thereof?

Yes I do? Interesting beers, rubs, or combinations. You phased the question wrong. You call up your 3 very best lady friends, (from the 11 that you're seeing),and take the picnic cruiser [ boat ] and have them rub you in six different combination while your sampling the interesting beers on a sunrise cruise. Makes for a long day on the harbor.Sunrise /Sunset..

Great response, TGR. I don't think the guys would notice there's no chicken on the boat!! :)

I'm a big fan of the rubs from Dizzy Pig. http://www.dizzypigbbq.com/
Their Tsunami Spin and Shakin the Tree are both great on Chicken. They add a "depth" to the chicken that is incredible.
They are nice people, their rubs are fabulous.
I also make a Dolly Parton Chicken, by simply cutting an orange in half and inserting in under the skin of the breast. Standing upright, the effect is stunning and it tastes great.
