Restaurant Closing
I just found out that one of my all-time favorite BBQ joints is closing, after being in business for over 50 years, due to gentrification in their neighborhood taking away most of their core business and raising costs to the point where they just can't operate anymore. I'm devastated.
What have you done to mourn the passing of a good friend like this, aside from raging against the machine and stuffing your face full of their food while you still can?

Otto's BBQ in Houston. You can read more about it here, if interested.

I know how you feel!! I found out yesterday that I local business in town call Alberts Rolling Lunch is being closed down! They have been in business for 75 years! Selling from a truck for 50 years, their yearly registration was turned down from the towns commity, rumor has it, it was so a family memeber could have Alberts place! Such a shame when these local legends have to close. People have gone to such lengths as starting up a petition to re-open their favorite food stop.

I would be devastated if that happened to me! Luckily it hasn't yet, that I can recall. I become addicted to things very easily...
I'd probably go so far as calling up the cooks and seeing if I could make some sort of arrangement for the future...haha, that is, if I was loaded.
