My favorite store-bought cookie is _____

I have three---the original Oreo, Fig Newton and Walker's shortbread. Granted, these are only eaten once in a blue moon but I can't seem to match their taste in a homemade variety. When Girl Scout cookies are available, Samoa's & Thin Mints come into the picture for that brief time! Do you wash down your favorite packaged cookie with a big glass of milk? Or are you a milk or coffee dunker?

Trader Joe's druid circles with oats and cranberries - milk, please!

Pecan Sandies! It's a texture and butter thing...

matt's chocolate chip cookies

Oreo!! with milk to dunk in. Tried making a homemade version but just didn't cut it. Also used to love Mystic Mint cookies as a kid.

Kashi Cookies, any flavor. And they are at least semi-healthy, so I don't feel guilty after eating one! No milk--- though I'll dunk them in pudding or yogurt any day.

Pepperidge Farm Mint Milanos...I can never buy them because I'll inhale the whole bag at once...

Definitely Newtons - but any of the available fruit flavors will do. As far as bakery cookies, I can't get away from Regina Biscuits. MMMmmmmm...Sesame seeds! Biscotti are also a fave.

Pepperidge Farm Milano, please.

I love the Pepperidge Farm Chesapeake cookies! But I almost never buy them because I have no self control. Once that package is open, watch out!

peanut butter oreo's

for some reason i can't get enough of those nasty white new york city bakery cookies with the sprinkles or chocolate chips on the top.

I know this is horrible, but...those really, really soft round cookies that supermarkets sell in their baked good departments, the kind with florescent frosting and usually a few sprinkles. They come in plastic containers, and if I ever get one, I abandon all other food.

After reading all the comments, I am thinking about going out in this snow storm for package of cookies :) Never have tried the PF Milano...sound good!

Anyone try Archway homestyle cookies?....like the Windmill ones. Or the Grandma brand big soft variety?...the peanut butter are pretty good.

miamia knows what's shakin'. Matt's cookies are unbelievable. While I do love the chocolate chip ones, I like the oatmeal reason even more. You know how the chewy chips ahoy was never really chewy? Well, these cookies are. The best part is that you can order them online. NOM NOM.

I can also recommend Erin Baker's Breakfast cookies which contain some pretty healthy ingredients. I've ordered the original ones---trying oatmeal raisin & fruit & nut as well as other flavors. Their customer service was also excellent!

Mi-Del gingersnaps, dipped in tea

I'll second Mi-Del gingersnaps.

I like Oreos, but I prefer the so-called reduced fat version because it's crunchier.

Lemon Coolers -- the ones that look like a Vanilla Wafer all covered with powdered sugar?

Pepperide Farms Tahoe and Fig Newtons (either nabisco or matt's)

Oreos all the way.

I agree that Matt's are freakin' fabulous but I haven't seen them in my area for a while. I'll have to save that link!

And absolutely, positively NO DUNKING. I don't like crumbs in my beverages. Few thing gross me out more than finishing a drink and finding a foreign object in the bottom of the glass- gag!

I'm having a hard time choosing... I do enjoy Oreos dipped in milk, Decadent Chocolate Chip Cookies (from President's Choice), and Farmer's Market Oatmeal Chocolate Chip.

Urbanaus-I know the ones you mean, and I'm helpless to resist those cookies if I buy them, so I only let myself buy them if I know others will be present to eat some with me! Perhaps we can split a box some time ;)

Pepperidge farm chessman cookies which I only snack on while making a pie crust using them. They are so good in a pie crust too!

My all time favorite store bought (sort of) cookie was the now discontinued Girl Scout Lemon Cooler cookie. Incredibly crunchy and light and delicious. I think it was hands down the best cookie they ever made. Second to that is plain old Oreo's.

I am currently enjoying Trader Joe's candy cane Joe Joe's. While it is a seasonal treat I also enjoy the basic Joe Joe's occasionally. Oh and both must be enjoyed with a large glass of milk.

!st choice -- Lorna Doone, 2nd choice -- Pecan Sandies

Definitely Lemon Coolers - but aren't those discontinued? I mean the Nabisco ones that came in the green/yellow box...I really loved them.

2nd would be Oreo's
3rd - Pecan Sandies

Radley, the Demon Coolers were discontinued. It is my hope that Girl Scout Cookie Honchos the how many people loved them and then maybe they'll start to reissue those fabulous bites of delight. Every cookie sale, I enter fingers crossed. So far, no deal.

Living in Baltimore has few advantages. One however is the Berger cookie. This is basically a large chocolate-top cookie with an exorbitant amount of chocolate icing. I know they're sold out of state but where exactly I'm not sure.
As far as supermarket-bought cookies, anything that Pepperidge Farm makes.

Surprised nobody mentioned Mallomars. made by nabisco, they only come out in the cooler weather becaused the dark chocolate coating (over a marshmallow topping to what probably is just a nilla wafer) melts in the summer.
My alltime favorite though was the dark chocolate covered graham crackers, also made by nabisco. They only came 15 to a package.
I would bite a tiny piece off diagonally opposed corners and suck the ice cold milk through as if using a straw. The cookie would then be milk saturated and ready for eating. Alas, Nabisco apparently has discontinued them.

Jaffa cakes were always my store-bought favourites back in England. Now that I live in the US, I don't get my hands on them too often - thankfully, I guess, because I vividly remember being able to finish off a box in under 30 minutes (and I have never admitted this to anyone before:-)). They don't need any dunking, as a matter of fact, they really don't need anything, but I've been know to eat them with a good cup of Earl Grey just to pace myself (seriously, drinking tea would slow me down and I wouldn't devour them as fast:-))

I have to weigh in on this one. Oreos, esp double stuff and the seasonal Christmas ones dipped in white fudge and the mint stuffed ones. With milk of course.
Chips Ahoy? chewy are another favorite. Mmmm cookies!

Evil, evil cookies!
All of these must die (and by die, I mean "GET IN MY BELLY!"):

Girl Scouts Thin Mints
Trader Joe's Candy Cane Jo Jos
Pepperidge Farms Mint Milanos
Trader Joe's Chai Spice/Molasses Cookies
my Mom's biscotti (any flavor)

Bad cookies. Go away.

Oops. Scratch Mom's. I missed the "store bought" part.

Absolutely dipped. In milk. Or chai.

I certainly do not partake of these very often but Nabisco's Nutterbutters are addictive with a glass of cold milk. I'll have to agree with many of you about Pecan sandies. They are very good.

I agree with the Candy Cane Joe Joe's. I just bought my first box and had to restrain myself from eating too many in a day! My husband looooves orange Milanos and will eat the whole bag in one day if I don't take it away from him!
I also like Spaan's cookies. They are fairly local to Northern California, but they have a web site and have a wide variety of cookies -- even sugar free and fat free. Some of the sugar-free ones are really tasty, especially a chocolate and cherry cookie.

When i lived in Malta, i developed a fondness for vanilla creams and would entrie packages of them in a single sitting. I also have a fondness for digestives with tea.

Ont eh US front, going back to my early childhood visitng my grandparents on their farm, they would always ahve a package of the Keebler soft chewy chocolate chip cookies, and the chocolate-covered grahams. They may not taste the best, but the memories that they bring back are wonderful!

Cinnamon Teddy Grahams! Delicately sweet and crunchy, but not hard and a substantial texture (I love that kind of rough, grainyness of graham crackers)!
Never underestimate this humble little cookie...

I actually never had these as a kid, but in college, I was in the market for munchies because of long hours and irregular meal times...and I developed an addiction to Teddy Grahams...

Vienna Fingers
Oreos
Nilla Wafers

And there's a reason I don't buy them--they VANISH!

Pretty much any Pepperidge Farm cookie...Milanos, Brussels, you name it!

And by the way, I didn't know Kashi made cookies!

Hillary
Chew on That

Butter Bella Cookies are the best butter cookies hands down.
