I do think that this book might be the quintessential coffee-table book for Thanksgiving.

Here's the link for the Time magazine sampling of the photo-essay book.
Some huge rhinocerous float just went by on the TV Macy's Day Parade.
It looked like it was chocolate. That must have been why I didn't post the link right the first time. :)

I saw this exhibit in person at the Museum of the African Diaspora. It was really interesting and I loved it.
Sadly, though, what the world mostly eats is McDonald's and other junk food, unless you are at a certain level of poverty. Then that diet is mostly vegetables and grain. Anyway, I highly recommend checking it out if you are in San Francisco (the exhibit runs until January).
