The Big Bundt Appreciation Bake-Off

Nov. 15 is National Bundt Day and to celebrate, I'm holding a bake-off.

Post and/or e-mail me your Bundt cake recipe, photo, and the story behind it by Mon. Nov. 12. (nora[at]shermanhome.com)

On Thurs Nov. 15, I'll post a round-up of the results on my blog, The Great American Cooking Project. (http://greatamericancookingproject.blogspot.com/)

What am I thinking? A bake-off ain't a bake-off unless someone's declared the winner!

So the entry that expresses the purest Bundt love -- a combination of enthusiasm and creativity -- will win a jar of my homemade Balsamic Ketchup or my "Kings County" Apple Butter, their choice!

Props to you for actually putting this together! I hope to participate but I'm not sure if I will wind up with the time.

Chew on That

I would so participate if I had time and /or liked cake - any post by me would be about my continued disdain for the bundt. Cake and I have just never been friends. Sad, but true - and don't even get me started on cupcakes. :)

Still, a terrific idea. I'll have to see if any of the entries look good enough for me to attempt a reconciliation.

I am in! I need a reason to bake something in that much neglected bundt pan.

I love bundt cakes! I'm so in!
