Where is the best place in NYC/Brooklyn to order a Thanksgiving turkey? It's my first year hosting.

I have ordered turkeys from Bazzini on Greenwich St. in Manhattan. They brined it for me, so it was delicious, but expensive.( According to Cooks Illustrated, a Butterball from the supermarket is just as good. ) I'm sure Fairway, Gourmet Garage, or Whole Foods has some good products . There is also a turkey purveyor at the Union Square greenmarket, Dipaola.

Thanks! I wanted to make sure it was a GOOD turkey since it's the first year I'll be cooking for my parents.

Updating for 2009: If you want a great, fresh turkey for Thanksgiving in New York this year, check out WhatIsFresh.com. We've teamed up with Dipaola Turkey Farm to let you order their fresh, free-range turkeys online. No payment required until you pick it up at one of 15 greenmarkets around the city. Dipaola Turkey is a local, family-owned farm. The turkeys are free-range, antibiotic-free, and fresh - not frozen.
