LIMITED EDITION: McDonald's 1/3rd pounders
Here in columbs ohio they make it a point to say in all the commercials for the 1/3rd pound burgers that we are the test market and that we are special and that If they go well here then the rest of the world will get them. I'm thinking this is just a ploy to have people go eat more of them.
I asked my brother in NYC and they have them too...im wondering if this is just a ploy? or that columbus and NYC are both test markets....are they in your neck of the woods?

They're not lying, Kbear. L.A. was the first test market, then NYC test market got them, now Columbus has them. If you like them, eat them so the rest of the country can get them.
I personally thought they were the best burgers on McDonald's menu when I first tried them. I tried them at a press event, though, so they were cooking them to the best of their ability. I've since had burgers at other McD's that were either just as good or dry and eh. So it's like any McD's product in that respect.

I really enjoyed the 1/3 pounder at Mc Donalds.. I had already eaten that night but couldnt resist when walking by.. Took a bite of the burger and found it to be juicy and tasted like more beeth then anything I have had at Mc Donalds..
I would get this before any other burger mc donalds has.. But if the person at the counter was nice, I might try to get a side of Big Mac Sauce.

Yes, we have them in LA.
My husband had one and said it tasted more like a "real" hamburger than the other McDonald's burgers.
So I'd say try one!

No 1/3lbs burger sighting here in the Milwaukee/Chicago area...

There's a Mets fan in my building who regularly gets home from wherever around the time I'm taking my dog out for his nightcap. I'll be getting off the elevator, and he'll be getting on. He's often bagging it from McDonald's. Later, I'll take the same elevator back up to my apartment. The elevator will still smell of a*s, courtesy of his stinky McD's bag from moments before. Hamburgers should smell good, and not of a*s. Avoid.
