My favorite non-chocolate dessert is _____

I'm having difficulty choosing...carrot cake, key-lime pie, tapioca pudding, strawberry shortcake, peanut butter cookies, Haagen-Dazs vanilla bean ice cream...my list is endless :) Just for today, I choose plain, dense creamy cheesecake, tho' What's your favorite non-chocolate dessert? Homemade, restaurant or store-bought?

A ton! Pumpkin bread, carrot cake, coconut cake, baklava, apple pie, mango ice cream, fruit pastries/tarts, and a lot more.

Creme brulee! Any flavor, but I guess for the sake of this discussion, not any kind with chocolate...

flan, tapioca and ricepuddings, pies

mom makes this delicious silken tofu pudding with ginger syrup (common desert in vietnamese culture), anyone else tried it?

That is a tough one! I absolutely love Key lime pie, but it MUST be served with hot, black coffee, and be the real kind, sans food coloring and whip. Carrot cake is wonderful, too, as is a well made coconut cream pie. Right now, however, I'm really into this bread pudding made at our local McMenamins. (If you live in or around the Portland, Oregon area, you know about McMenamins!) It's called Hogshead bread pudding, and it's made with buttery croissants, their own brand of whiskey, and special cream sauce. Delish!

creme brulee, coconut cake, pound cake plain, coconut cream pie, bread pudding, rice pudding, banana pudding, cannoli

I can't possibly choose!

Sour cherry pie, peach raspberry cobbler, pretty much any sort of dough (pies, galettes, cobblers, slumps, etc) with seasonal fruit.

And my absolute favorite, homemade pumpkin pie. I could eat it every day!

Coffee icecream w/ rainbow sprinkles on a sugar cone!
Tiramisu
Baklava
Cheese Danish

chlamers, do you have a recipe for that? It sounds fabulous!

Normally my list would be full of creme brulee, cheesecake, bread pudding, etc., but lately eating dairy has become a no-no. So I'd have to go with a good cobbler, crisp, or pie-- peach, apple, or cherry preferably. And I love citrus concoctions.

I like EVERYTHING non-chocolate, though I would have to rule out baklava. Not a fan.

My favorite non-chocolate dessert is probably apple pie. Or bread pudding. Or even strawberries over ice cream--simple, yes, but it always hits the spot.

(See, this is why I say everything is my favorite!)

lemon squares, cheesecake, lemon, caramel or coffee ice cream, fresh raspberries with whipped cream, apricot pie, pumpkin spice cake, banana cake, shortbread...

Apple pie a la mode!

Anything with almonds/marzipan.

i'm not really a dessert person, but I am partial to a well made apple crumble. Cream/ice-cream/custard optional.

Probably have to go with either pumpkin pie or New York style Cheesecake.

I have a sweet tooth the size of the Grand Canyon, so it is impossible for me to choose!

anything kind of pie made with any kind of fresh fruit

gingerbread! then of course there are molasses cookies, snickerdoodles, peanut butter cookies, apple pie, fruit sorbets...

Much on the tart (as in sourish) side: anything lemon, of course. Then things like gooseberry and rhubarb pies. Blackberry cobbler. Much else. It doesn't have to be chocolate for me to have a great time.

Strawberry-rhubarb cobbler with vanilla ice cream, peach cobbler with ice cream. Or just plain ice cream!

strawberry milkshake

Mango, Sticky Rice, and Coconut Milk

blueberry clafoutis, banana cream pie (made from scratch, yes all of it), walnut torte, and you can add some vanilla ice cream with strawberries marinated in balsamic vinegar with a pinch of cayenne, and I'm good.

Too hard to choose just one! Cheesecake, coconut cream pie, banana cream pie, lemon bars, creme brulee, eggnog rum cake, pumpkin pie, rice pudding, fried flour tortilla with vanilla ice cream and cinnamon sugar. The list goes on!

Sorry to say I'm the only one here to favor them, but Carob Brownies! After that, homemade mint carob chip ice cream, apple pie, oatmeal cookies and bread pudding.

Cheesecake, tart cherry pie, a good sugar cookie

Any kind of well-made tarte tatin.

Actually, most of my favorite desserts don't involve chocolate so it's hard to choose... but I think a simply apple crisp would top the list... or any fruit crisp/crumble (made a delicious plum crisp a few weeks ago).

Key lime pie - delish!

Adding---pecan pie, apple crisp & butterscotch pudding...

Warm pumpkin pie, NY style cheesecake, pumpkin cheese cake, and homemade sour cherry pie.

Top Three: Carrot Cake (lots of chunky-chopped walnuts & cream cheese icing); Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla w/CocaCola (aka "coke float"); Banana Pudding (only my recipe).

Creme Brulee'
Strawberry Shortcake
Strawberry IceCream
Strawberry Cheesecake IceCream

oh, pumpkin pie &
pumpkin cheesecake

Ohhhh if I had to choose one and only one it would have to be shortbread cookies. Not the fancy type with chocoloate or crystalized ginger-Just Pure Shortbread-Yummmm

Did you know that Hummingbird Cake is the #1 most requested recipe ever from Southern Living Magazine? If you haven't had it, it's kind of like a carrot cake but with pineapple instead of carrot. It has cream cheese icing, and it's out-of-this-world good.
