I miss Taco Bell's three-olive enchirito - what do you miss?
When I was in high school, I used to love Taco Bell's enchirito with the three olive slices on top. The one's occasionally offered today are just not the same.

That was my favorite too! My mom, grandmother & I used to order them in the summer for supper after a long day of being in the pool.
I also miss the original triangle-shaped cinnamon crisps, not the new styrafoam tasting ones-blah!

I am throughly convinced that every item on the Taco Bell menu contains heroin. The food isn't great, but one bite of anything Taco Bell leads to 5 empty burrito wrappers and a bladder-busting Pepsi cup littering the passenger side floor of my car. I haven't eaten there in so long, I don't know what is still on the menu, but for a while I only knew of one store within a 300 mile radius of me that still served the Chili Cheese Burrito (or "Chilito" if you're old-school.) The last few times I've eaten there, I felt incredibly hung-over the next day, but it was so worth it.

The enchirito! That brings back lots of memories . . . last time I had one was after an NMSU-UNM college football game in Las Cruces many years ago. Those were the days when one could eat pretty much what one wanted without fear of clogged arteries and digestive issues. Sigh. These days, anything from Taco Bell comes with a side order of guilt.

You can order an Enchirito at any Taco Bell still. It may not be on their menu but they will make it for you. They added it back on the menu at my Taco Bell but when they first took them off, I asked a manager and he said that they will always make it for you it's just no longer on the menu. It's not like they don't have all the ingedients. It is certainly worth asking at your Taco Bell. Dang now I need one for lunch!

Enchirito... I haven't set foot in a TB in well over a decade, but back in high school (SUCH a long time ago) an enchirito and a red burrito with onions and extra cheese was lunch at least once a week... it was almost perfect!
I refuse to eat at McD's, but way back when they still served decent fast food, I did love their french fries -- the original ones that were cooked properly, in real lard... MMMmmm... (yes, I'm old).
Anyone remember Orange Julius? I used to love those.
Oh. And I really, really miss the old Jack-in-the-Box clown head where you placed your drive-thru order. I used to beg to go to JIB when I was a kid. It wasn't about the food. It was just to talk to that silly clown.

I missed jello pudding pops for a long time, but they've made a comeback.
I really miss Ben and Jerry's mint oreo ice cream. Cookies and cream is good, mint chocolate chip is ok, but NOTHING compares to mint oreo.
BTW, I agree with the Taco Bell/ heroin theory. I'm proud to say I've been clean since '98.

I was going to say that we still have enchiritos and chili cheese burritos - I just saw them last night on the menu. The enchiritos don't have the olives anymore and I'm convinced they just don't taste the same.
I was thinking (while in the drive-thru) that Taco Bell is like crack just yesterday. About once a week I have to have a crunchwrap supreme. I love that junk!

The chicken club burrito made an indelible impression on me as a teen, and although they tried to bring bacon back at one point, it was never the same.
I haven't been in about a year and a half after having quit cold turkey. I wonder if I'll ever go back.

I also liked the McRib. I ate one on a road trip 20 years ago. I now make my own McRib using boneless pork ribs and stovetop BBQ sauce and top it off with my own fresh pickle.
I miss McDonald's fries. The way they used to be with the beef tallow on them. I did try them after they were changed and they suck.
I feel compelled to make this a topic.

Hershey Cookies 'n' Mint bars. Those used to be my favorite.
As for Taco Bell, I used to always get the Big Beef Burrito Supreme. Now they've got 1/2 pound beef burritos with a bad aftertaste. I used to eat Taco Bell at least once a week when I was going to community college, and I miss how it used to taste decent and not leave me feeling bleh afterward!

I miss the Taco Light (flour tortilla shell, fried) with sour cream. I think the only "light" thing about it was the color of the shell!

From McDonald's, I miss the fried pies...the original greasy apple ones, the baked ones they have now are now the same. I don't think I have eaten McDonald's in about 3 years!

i miss the taco bell chicken burritos that had just chicken, taco sauce, onion (& cheese, i think). i subsisted on those & 2% milk for most of high school. when i went to college, college station (tx) had only 1 taco bell (across town), so i quit eating there. when i found out they discontinued those, i was crushed.
i desperately missed jello pops, too. i didn't know they were 'back'. i try to avoid THAT aisle of the market. i may have to venture there now, though!

I miss the Chillito as well-- I am not convinced the Chili Cheese Burrito is the same thing at all. Didn't they have to change the name of the Chillito because it turned out "chillito" was Puerto Rican slang for the male genitalia? That alone makes me miss it!

McRib popped back up for a while last year in some parts of the country. I miss the fish sandwiches at Jack in the Box from when they first came to the Midwest - they're not the same, either. And it's amazing how many women I know get the occasional jones for Jack's tacos. I'm convinced they contain the sort of body parts Fergus Henderson loves.

i miss the gordita crunch... some of the taco bell's in my area still offer it, but you have to ask for it since its not on the menu. :)

I used to love the light version of the 7-layer burrito. They still have the full fat version, but I loved the illusion that I was being healthy when I chowed down on the light version.

I am just amazed that only one person mentioned the Taco Light! I miss the olives on the enchirito, but I can't believe they have never brought back the Taco Light. Maybe change the name because it was anything but, maybe Flour Taco Supreme. When I was young I had to wait until I visited my sister in New Orleans for any Taco Bell, so upon arrival I ordered an enchirito w/ extra sauce and a Taco Light add onions.
