Briançon eating

I'm Heading to Briançon area for the 1st November: do you a good place to eat? I mean, an outstanding place, as I think is rather difficult to eat poorly in France... :-)

i am very very jealous. thats much further east and up into the alps than i am familiar with. My stomping grounds are a little further west and south, the Luberon, Aix en Provence, Marseille , Avignon, Arles area. If you were ging there I could tell you lots of stuff to do, so i'm sorry i offer nothing more than my best wishes to you and i hope you come back with lots of photos and stories.

one thing you might (or not) know is that you will be right on the the border with Italy, only about 75 kilometres from Turin which is where the whole slow food movement came from. The nearest big French city is Grenoble, ironically the same distance as Turin, which should have tons of yummy stuff. i'm very very sure you will find LOTS of good stuff to eat over there, both in France and in Italy, just by wandering the streets, both in cities as well as in the smallest of villages. I'M JEALOUS!!!!

I live in Milan, Seyo, so for the Italian food I'm ok... :-)
