25 Comments:

Three favorites:

Bacon and Tomato on Whole Wheat Toast

Spicy Chicken Salad on Dark Rye

French Dip - Roast Beef

Meatloaf on chewy whole grain bread with watercress and ketchup!

Skippy Natural peanut butter & black raspberry jelly on sunflower kernal bread

Turkey breast, mayo mixed with Frank's Hot Sauce, and iceberg lettuce on honey wheat bread.

Oatnut bread, cheddar cheese, and an avocado-tomato spread I make (~guac).

I rarely eat sandwiches but when I'm in the mood for one...

Roast beef, lettuce, Dijon mustard on a French roll

I hate nearly all bread, but I love schmeering peanut butter on corn thins. Or just plain hummus in a pita pocket. Its almost a sandwich.

I rarely eat sandwiches at home, but when I do , it is always ham ,Swiss cheese or gruyere, mayo, and lettuce on really good bread.

My computer seems to be haunted- sorry for the unfinished phrase.

Tuna melt (swiss on rye).

avacado, sprouts and cheese on toasted rye, with a little spicy mustard or a drizzle of good vinegrette. or if I'm feeling really naughty, a blt made with wild boar bacon.

In order of preference;
1. Turkey on sinfully white bread with Best Food's, salt and lots of pepper. We only buy white the day after holidays.
2. Leftover meatloaf and Best Food's on a chunky whole grain bread.
3. Toasted whole grain bread spread with cream cheese, crisp bacon, tomato slices and slices of avocado.

A good BLT on whole wheat or seven-grain is delicious any day. And leftover turkey, a spoonful of cranberry sauce, and some gravy folded up in a slice of white bread (like czken- only bought during/after the holidays!) wins my heart.

I'm the type that used to make almost everything on a roll or between a couple of pieces of bread. Unfortunately I can't do that any more. But my favorites were meatloaf (home made), chicken salad or a good old PB&J with Jiff creamy and Hero Black Current Jelly.

Liverwurst on marble rye with German mustard and finely sliced red onion.

Mayo, chicken, cucumber, onion and lettuce (so refreshing and tasty!); or grilled cheese with mustard. I like sourdough wheat bread slices.

dark rye
liverwurst
limburger
and a thick slice of vidallia!

We don't eat sandwhiches too often, but my top 3 favorites are:

1. fresh mozzarella, plum tomato and basil on ciabatta bread drizzed with really good olive oil and balsamic vinegar and a dash of sea salt

2. goat cheese, roasted red & yellow peppers & capers on ciabatta bread drizzed with really good olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

3. Hummus, tabouleh & vegetarian grape leaves on syrian bread.

1. fresh mozzarella with tomatoes and pesto
2. blt with good bacon and homemade mayo
3. goat cheese with jam, grilled
4. haloumi cheese with olive tapenade and greens - grilled

liverwurst on toasted, seeded rye with hellmans mayonnaise.....eat it with chilled kosher dills and have a glass if ice cold malted milk along side.

Two chopped hard-boiled eggs with slightly undercooked yolks and salt, on buttered toast

A simple peanut butter and jelly (JEP I like raspberry jelly too!) OR

Bananas, honey and peanut butter! Mmm...

Chew on That

Egg salad sandwich, or tuna salad with mayo and whatever greens are on hand, both on whole wheat, or a grilled cheese. Easy and comforting.

Holy crap, skylar0ne, I thought I was the only one who did that. I use sriracha sauce, though, not hot sauce.
