need reccos for the strongest blender ever

i need a strong, lasting blender. something hardy. a product that murders ice -- because i love icy fruit smoothies, and drink them almost every morning. Any advice?

Seriously, you must check out the videos posted on Blendtec's website.

If you don't need a blender that will turn an iPhone into powder, check out the Villaware Pro Infinity. I found it cheapest at Tiger Direct.

I am an old Waring blenderphile. It holds up to time and abuse.

Screw vitamix - Blentec will WAKE THE DEAD! People will call from over at the airport and tell you to pipe down - they cannot hear the jets taking off when you start that bad boy up. Think I am kidding? Fire on up with a peeled avocado in it. That's right - with the pit/pip/seed whatever it is STILL INSIDE. It will cream it in less than 15 seconds. Try that one with something from Wal-Mart and you better hold on to your receipt. It is truely awesome!

I'd have to "test drive" a Blentec myself, but personally I couldn't kill my old stainless steel Vitamix'......I've had several because I've moved a lot and I'd sell one and end up buying another, and these stainless ones are ancient. Yes, it does ice, makes soups, smoothies to die for, etc. Somehow I have a bit less faith in a blender that resorts to chopping up cell phones and iphones......makes me wonder what they are hiding. Probably nothing, but I'd have to have one in my kitchen for a while to decide.

I initially read that as "need raccoons for the strongest blender ever".

Totally different meaning.

With a strong blender you wouldn't have to take the bones out.

(Cue to Monty Python's "Whizzo Chocolate Factory" sketch and the part about "crunchy frog". - I copied that link from Google but didn't click through because youtube is blocked at work.)
