Interesting food finds on road trips
The best part of a road trip is making a stop and finding a good/ weird/ or interesting local food. Recently,in Northern Michigen, I came across some wonderful aged 'cheddar' (the good) and jars of pickled bologna (the weird.) Is exploring for food part of your vacation and what are some of your better finds?

I just got back from a road trip to Southern California and Baja. My husband doesn't really care about finding food. But, we said we were going to eat fish tacos and had fun driving down the Baja coast and not finding any at the roadside stands (but did have some good pork tacos!). Luckily, we did find fish tacos, and they sure were good! Lightly breaded fish with cabbage, onions and creamy guacamole.
We made sure to stop at Hussong's Cantina before we left Ensenada, where the margarita was supposedly invented, so that we could try the margaritas.
Also, we made a special trip to a historic soda fountain on Route 66 in Pasadena, where we had ice cream sodas (which I can't find much of in Northern California). There was nothing special at any other place where we stopped for food.
