Fregetables = fruits treated like vegetables
I love cucumbers and tomatoes in savory ways, but I also like to treat them like the fruits they are and turn them into sweet dishes -- things like cucumber-mint sorbet or grape tomatoes quickly poached in simple syrup and served over vanilla ice cream. What other "fregetable" have you returned to its fruit roots?

Cucumbers are GREAT in cocktails!
I've done the tomatoes over vanilla ice cream and it's yummy.
I also like to really sweeten up eggplant even when it's in a savory dish - pomegranate molasses is great for this!

I agree on the eggplant -- my mom's eggplant caponata is deliciously sweet-n-sour...And you just reminded me about the cucumber mojito I had recently -- such a refreshing summer drink!

I was nostalgically re-reading Laura Ingalls Wilder, and she mentions in one of the later books of the original Little House on the Prairie series sitting down to eat tomatoes with sugar and cream. If you've never tried it, this is one bandwagon you should hop on-- it's so very delicious.
