Crackers...what are your top 3 picks?

Thin, crispy, usually salty or can be sweet, crackers are a necessity with soup, cheese & crax, s'mores and the famous "mock apple pie recipe". What 3 crax meet your requirements for a best pick?

Ritz
Triscuit Original
Nabisco Honey Maid

Pepperidge Farm Hearty Wheat
Trader Joe's Mini Savory Thins
Triscuits

Ritz, Triscuit, Wheat Thins -- although I also really like the "Cuban crackers" that are available in supermarkets in south Florida (with cream cheese and guava jelly).

Dominic
the zen kitchen

Ritz, Wheat Thins, and Saltines; the later mostly for creamy soups, chicken fried steak coating and casserole topping.

Ritz, Club Crackers & Wheat Thins

Saltines (with butter), Club (mmm golden, buttery, salty), Toasteds Buttercrisp....I think I see a trend...

saltines (salt fanatic) i used to gag hubby by eating them spread with chinese hot mustard, or wasabi spread. for using with a "normalspread" I like Carr's water crackers. also love the barefoot contessa's recipe for her rosemary crackers.

CLUB! Then Carr's whole wheat crackers (I don't buy them often, but they have such a wonderful sweet hearty taste), saltines. Goldfish would come in a close fourth. :>

Stonewall Kitchen has some of the yummiest little plain buttery crackers I've ever tasted. I also like the Triscuit/Triscuit clone (Whole Foods and President's Choice make decent ones), Wheat Thins, mmph I just love crunchy salty things.

Huney_bumper mentioned a cracker recipe---does anyone else make their own?

Saltine lovers---are you brand loyal?

Oh, I almost forgot those Barnum's cute little pkgs with the string handle animal crackers--anyone else buy these as a child?

saltines -premium or zesta
or 'old cape cod rounds' not really a saltine but basically the same

Club Crackers, Carr's Water Crackers, Pepperidge Farm Wheat Thins. Yum yum.

czken mentioned using crackers as a breading---other than eating them plain or with a spread, how are you SE using the cracker?

Rice crackers, especially with wasabi. Mmm.

Sometimes I top them with tuna or goat cheese.

I guess you could call this a family tradition going back three generations on my dad's side... Saltines (Premium), a can of sardines, diced onions, and shavings of very sharp, cheddar cheese for a weekend lunch.

Rice crackers, club crackers, Carr's water crackers (especially the black pepper ones)

As a child I have eaten all of those you mentioned but now I would never feed them to my son. I love Back to Nature Organic Flax crackers and Blue Star Farm Stone Ground Multi Grain Crackers..these both sound healthier than they taste. They are quite good and a healthier alternative.

Original Triscuits, rye crisps (the flatbread), water crackers

Don't you hate it when you open a new box of crackers, only to find mostly broken ones or crumbs :(

saltines with jam.

What's the WORST cracker you have ever tasted?

My Top 3 Crackers:Ritz, Wheat Thins, and Keebler Club. I'm not crazy about Goldfish.

I also love Honey Graham crackers, especially on S'mores!

I have seen some holiday-themed crax like heart shaped at Valentines & shamrock at St. Patrick's Day.

Seems like crackers have really taken a back seat to chips over the years. Do you serve as many nowdays?

Salba Flats Jalapeno with Lime and Hummus hmmmmmmm
