Cereal only for breakfast?

Since my husband was away on business, I didn't feel like cooking. So last night I had cereal for dinner-Kashi oat flakes with blueberry clusters. I used 1% milk. I usually throw fruit into my bowl, but as you see from the name, this cereal had its' own. When do you eat cereal? What kind of milk, and what add-ons?

Faves here are Life, Special K and Frosted Flakes, in that order, ice cold 2% or better milk, please. And of course, the original Golden Grahams ... cruble a pack of graham crackers into a bowl, add sugar, milk ... Also makes for a great evening snack.

Grape Nuts with fresh blueberries, strawberries or peaches. 2% milk. Good for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I mostly eat cereal as a beedtime snack.

I really like Erewhon Crispy Brown Rice Cereal mixed with Kashi Nuggets (Kashi's answer to Grape Nuts). Vanilla rice milk is my favorite, but I've started using unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and it's fine.

I usually add ground flax seeds and protein powder as well since it's got to last me all morning (and sometimes the afternoon).

Sometimes, I'll add apple pie spice and some raisins or other dried fruit, but more often than not, I won't.

My favorites are Life and Puffins, with plain soy milk or (very rarely) whole milk. I go through phases where cereal is all I want to eat, then when the phase is over I don't eat it for months. I mostly enjoy cereal as an after-work or bedtime snack.

For me, cold cereal is a before bedtime snax. Mostly Kashi cereals---Cinnamon Harvest Wheat or Go lean Crunch. Grape-Nuts sounds good for a change, tho' I'm a whole milk person. Usually no toppers.

My fave has to be Cracklin' Oat Bran, a sweet, crunchy cereal with a lot of fiber. I mostly eat Smart Start. My requirements are: at least 5 g. of fiber, on sale and tastes good (no aftertaste like some of the cereals with fiber sticks). I like a handful of cereal for a snack.

I pretty much stick to Wheat Chex with plain unsweetend soymilk. Add ons are whatever I have around but include bananas, peaches, walnuts, raisins...

Mother's Peanut Butter Bumpers. 1% milk. Standing over the sink. It's the perfect meal when you get home late, starving, yet too spent to worry about a hot meal. And virtually no clean-up!

One of my biggest comfort foods is hot grapenuts with half and half and brown sugar. Not a low-calorie treat, but it tastes like my childhood.

Plain old Kellogg's corn flakes with 2 percent milk is a comforting night time snack -- or a light dinner, when I'm tired and just don't feel like cooking or take-out. can't do oatmeal anytime except mornings . . .

Oh wow, I would eat cereal for every meal if I could. I rarely have time for it in the morning so I usually eat it for dinner. My favorites are cheerios with bananas and raisins, honey bunches of oats (almond), autumn wheat, and fruit loops or lucky charms when I'm on vacation :)

You are all bringing back childhood memories. My favorite cereal then was Frosted Flakes. But I also ate Golden Grahams, Frosted mini-wheats , and Sugar Pops.

I will definitely eat a bowl of cereal at night! I don't know if I would make it my entire dinner, but it would certainly qualify as a midnight snack. I happen to like breakfast food at any time of the day! The other night I had waffles for dinner.

I like putting bananas, strawberries or blueberries in my cereal if it doesn't already have anything in it. By the way, the Kashi cereals are fantastic!

My fave cereals to eat with milk are Kashi Go Lean and Nature's Path Optimum Slim. In the summer I topped with fresh peaches or berries, in the winter I resort to frozen blueberries. I usually only eat those for breakfast, but I have done them for dinner on occasion. For snacking, I love dry Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Vanilla Mini-Wheats. Crunchy and sweet-yum!

I love Vanilla Almond Clusters from Trader Joe's straight from the box.

I usually eat cereal as a bedtime snack. Kelloggs All Bran Flakes (the kind with William Shatner on the box); Corn Bran Squares or Shreddies are faves, and I let them get soggy.

Cereal is appropriate for breakfast, lunch and dinner (as well as snacks in between). When, I'm being good, I eat Kashi Go Lean with 1% lactaid milk. When I'm being bad I eat Corn Pops (straight from the box.)

Cereal is a must for breakfast and is a great snack any other time of the day - It has to be crunchy though! I use one of those eatmecrunchy cereal bowls.
Favourite cereals are Shreddies, clusters and Special K Red.
