Where do you go for dim sum in Chinatown (NYC)?
My cousin and I will be dining at her favorite spot on Pell Street (2nd place on the left from Mott). Where's your favorite spot and your favorite dish?

I am lazy and usually go to Chinatown Brasserie. I know, I know, it's chi-chi and pricey, but the food is very good. Joe Ng knows what he's doing.

It's not the best dim sum, but I still like going to Jing Fong for the giant dim sum hall experience. My favorite dish is a pair of fried sesame rice balls with red bean paste filling.

I go to Flushing for Dim Sum. Gum Fung is good.

I used to go to Jing Fong, but now I like Golden Bridge even better. The enterence is on the Bowery. The salt and peper squid is fantastic.

Mei Lei Wah on Bayard (btw Mott and Elisabeth) is better known for (probably) the best steamed pork buns in Manhattan, but they also have a solid, very cheap dim sum menu. Extremely cosy and informal, if you're into that.
