I'm guilty. Today while ordering my 12 oz brewed coffee, the barista suggests, "The lemon loaf pairs well with the Sidamo..." I glance in the pastry case, looks fresh & has been a couple of hours since breakfast--sure, why not? Those free samples, end of the aisle displays & seductive food aromas can result in impulsive buys. Do you participate?

An Hershey's bar with almonds when I did my weekly grocery store run...I'm so bad -- I tell myself it's healthy because it contains almonds :-)

I was buying my mum a pasty at the bakery today and even though I had already eaten, I just had to get a sesame bagel. Bread is like crack to me- I need my fix every few hours. And the lucious bakery smells dont help kick this addiction

Grocery shopping this weekend, my impulse buy was all butter chocolate chip cookies from the Lunds/Byerly's Bakery department (minneapolis). Bad girl! But oh so good.

I think I'm the queen of impulse purchases...it's terrible. I randomly bought crepe mix and chocolate bars at Cost Plus World Market...was I going there for food? Nope!

Hey everyone, I did not intend to make anyone feel guilty. We are all human & advertizing as well as good ol' hunger drives us to satisfy an immediate need. As a dietitian, I believe there are no good vs bad foods. My "talk" posts are only intended as way to promote fun & sharing---thanks! Oh, while at the check-out today, I heard the M&M's calling my name....

This past week, I've had no food impulse buys...hmm. When I saw this question, I laughed because yesterday I went out to buy another wine opener (ours broke on Saturday) and managed to not only buy the wine opener, but a Le Creuset 5 QT buffet casserole, a set of ramekins, and some covered soup bowls, also Le Creuset. Now I need to find room in my cabinets!

$12 french goat cheese from whole foods in union square ny. now i know why they call it whole paycheck but dang it was gooooood.
