What fruit could you eat every day for the rest of your life?

Anything you don't get sick of?

44 Comments:

Passion fruit, all the way. And I think that's probably the only fruit I could eat EVERY day for the rest of my life.

It is a toss up between apples & bananas. During the fall & winter I enjoy the new season of various apples---especially look forward to the Honeycrisp

Tomatoes -- every way, never tired of 'em. Okay, also lemons/limes. An apple every morning as I go out the door.

Raspberries---in yogurt, on ice cream, pureed on peaches, sprinkled on cereal, in jams and jellies, in cookies, in shortcake, on tarts, alongside duck, alongside pork loin, just plain.

Grapes, red or green, as long as they're perfectly crisp and juicy! I can eat a bag a day, without even realizing it, which is a fairly expensive habit...
I also LOVE honeycrisp apples, and can't wait till fall when I can start eating like 3 a day!

All great answers! I realized I never gave my own answer - while I like bananas a lot, I do get sick of them. I would have to say blueberries or cherries - have yet to get sick of either!

Cherries. I could eat them all day.

Cherries. During the season, I buy a pound or two EVERY DAY, and eat them all at one sitting. And when the season ends, I weep.

Cherries are great - aren't they? I love all kinds, black, red and white (Rainier)! Mmm...

The only fruit I've never gotten tired of is strawberry.... I can max out on nanners (besides the dogs get all drooly and want their share....sheesh) and apples like Waltannas and Honeycrisps (although it is tougher). All fruit is great and divine, but I have never turned down a strawberry.

mangoes. and tomatoes.

blueberries, cherries and mangoes- The cherries I eat in season, but the rest I eat all year.

Blueberries, concord grapes.

passion fruit, mangoes, cherries, rasberries. you know, all the expensive stuff. oooh, and pineapple. and perfectly ripe nectarines.

clementines.

plums -- black, red, green, pluots
I love them all!

apples definetly.
I have to disagree with paris- oranges do strange things with their acidity to my stomach.

no contest that its apples

I could eat a lot of fruits every day - peaches, cherries, strawberries, nectarines, apples, apricots...the only fruit I really get sick of sometimes is bananas because of their texture, but I still put them in my smoothies every morning.

bananas and peaches

easily bananas. i eat one every single day.

White peaches, rainer cherries, fuji apples, cold crisp watermelon and all kinds of berries- straw, blue, ras, black....Oh yeah- and pineapple.

watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon watermelon.

i really like watermelon.

mangosteens, lychees, mangoes, soursop, papaya, bing cherries!!

Raspberries, watermelon, mangoes, plums, bananas of just the right ripeness.

This is good to keep in mind, because at this point I *don't* eat fruit every day, but could.

Ice cold watermelon with a pinch of salt.

mangosteens, omg. but more realistically (for me): cherries! even more realistically (given English climate): blackberries.

I've never had a mangosteen before but I've heard such great things! Thanks for all the answers guys!

Berries, Mangos and Watermelon...fond memories of eating watermelon with my grandfather....

Fresh pineapple ... I could eat it at every meal. Pineapple with bananas for breakfast, pineapple in a salad for lunch, grilled pineapple as a side with dinner and a slice of pineapple with a scoop of ice cream for dessert.

It's a tie between raspberries and strawberries - can't make up my mind!

Mangoes; perfectly ripe, juicy and sweet. One of the few good things about living in the tropics.

Pluots, sometimes known as dinosaur plums.

nectarines. so juicy and delicious!

i really like berries, or banana.. imagine the recipes!

Fresh peaches, so juicy they should be eaten sitting in the bathtub.

Pink Lady apples or in-season watermelon!

Rocky Ford melons, be it cantaloupe, Honeydew, crenshaws or watermelon. They're in season right now and just wonderful.

Blackberries and maybe currants -- do they count?

Mangoes and Nectarine's could keep me company forever!

Green Guages, or Cherrys or for the five minutes they are perfectly ripe pears (any type).

Oh I forgot Raspberries, were we only aloud to pick one? I thinkl I could pretty much live on just fruit.
