Isabella's Pizza Warning!
Avoid for lunch. I took my mother there today. (8/4) The much lauded Margherita D.O.C. pie was little more than a flavored $21 piece of dough. The waitress delivered a caveat with the pie as to how the lunch chef was different than the dinner chef. Boy! Was he ever! This place makes RAY'S look good!!

I'm all for warnings regarding bad restaurants, but this post seems like a hatchet job. There's no reference to previous visits to the restaurant, no indication of what else is on the menu, and this seems to be the only post from chrisd. After Ed Levine's writeup on July 18, I'm thinking that I should take chrisd's comments with a grain of salt.

Went for lunch at Isabella's today as well... We also got the DOC pie and it left us scratching our heads: the dough was great, but there was very, very little sauce or buffalo mozzarella... Willing to give it another chance and go back for dinner though/

Had a great pie for dinner recently. Got it as take out, and because it was so thin, it was cold by the time we got to eat it. Nonetheless, the quality of the crust, sauce and toppings was evident, and the proportions were spot on. We are very much looking forward to eating IN there sometime soon.
