If you could create a hybrid fruit or vege what would it be?

-Mine would have to be a potatocado (basically, a potato genetically grafted with an avocado). My fruity fantasy would be to genetically engineer some kind of melon and citrus so that you got the ‘bing, bang, zam’ of the citrus coupled with the mellow, easily digestible texture of the watery, melon.

Isn't "tomacco" the hybrid tomato/tobacco from The Simpsons?

Mine would be a strain of wheat that doesn't have the protein that causes celiac disease. It would be awesome, but isn't amusing, sorry.

I think I would want massion fruit, or muava (thats mango-passion fruit or mango-guava). Wouldn't it make cocktail bartender's jobs a lot easier?

I would also love a tomatado (tomato avocado). Since I rarely eat one without the other, they might as well be grown together.

Come to think of it, why stop at fruits and veggies - I would love a ribshroom - thats a ribeye steak with built in mushrooms...
ok. maybe its gross to think of mushrooms growing inside a cow.

Speaking of making a bartender's job easier, the first thought that came to mind was pineapple and coconut in one: pinconut (or coconapple!)

-Or perhaps a kiwi crossed with a tangerine...? A tangerwi? Kiwangerine? Rut row! Me thinks I've begun to overthink this topic. lol

Mine would have to be the Banacado..Picture this: a banana in the exterior and an avocado-like pulp inside with hints of banana in both the smell and the flavor...you could make guacanana with it and have with crackers!

I'd like a kiwiana or some mix of blueberry and watermelon for fruits. For the veg, a scallionagus or an asparashallot would work well for me.

LOL! You guys are geniuses! I love the inventive ideas you all have come up with...especially the banacado...that sounds soooooooooo good!
