Are you a "dunker"?

There is something very satisfying about dunking food into a hot or cold dip, sauce or beverage prior to eating it. Dunkers go for things like cheese dip or chocolate fondue or shrimp cocktail or even a morning doughnut dunked in coffee. For me, good ol' store-bought gingersnaps in cold milk is soothing. Is dunking your style?

I am definitely a dunker! From fresh baked chocolate cookies to burgers and salads, I love to dip my food in a liquid. With savory sauces, dips and dressings it is all about the proper food-to-condiment-ratio. Plus, when I dunk, I feel like I have more control thus less likely to get ketchup/mustard/dressing all over me. I'm not sure what it is with the sweet items, but I will always love milk and cookies.

Oreos in milk or a French dip sandwich :-)

Always dip biscotti in hot tea. Traditionally, it's sweet wine, but I'm a teetotaler.

When I used to do catering, I had to be restrained from making everything dippable. Great dip tip--beat together 1/2 currant jelly, 1/2 mustard. Tastes really rich and mayonnaisy and works on lots of dippables. When I feel retro, I serve it with pigs in blankets.

I'm a dipper, not a dunker. Here's why: soggy crumbs at the bottom of my cup. How can you stand it???

my grandmother makes amazing chocolate chip cookies, and I LOOOOVED dipping them in milk, but I was forbidden by my grandmother if she ever saw me because of the work she had done to make them crispy in the first place. It was pretty funny - I had to covertly dunk whenever she wasn't looking!

I am a dip fanatic. I love to dip! In the summer i like smoked bluefish dip from Martha's Vineyard. I also love to make a bacon bluecheese dip. I love to dip french fries and don't even get me started on a cheese fondue. I love a crusty bread in seasoned olive oil. Oreo's in milk....I could go on and on!

I am an absolute 100% proud dunker. At a young age. I used to do dunking battles with my grandpa durring breakfast. He always won.
My sister dunk slices of WATERMELON in Soda. I am telling ya a proud dunking family. Except for my sister, that is just weird!!!

I do not dunk. As for dipping; I like blue cheese dressing on my wings. I like horseradish sauce on my blooming (et al) onion. I like to dip my fries in the ketchup or mustard or bbq sauce or malt vinegar (depends on the mood) Many years ago I had an affinity for onion dip and BBQ chips that was bordeing on obssessive.

Wow, I used to love dunking chocolate chip cookies in milk. I haven't thought about that in years! Mmm, sounds so delicous.

I love spinach artichoke dip on just about anything...pita chips, tortilla chips, you name it. I can't eat fries without ketchup (or mustard, you should try mustard, adds a little kick). Whenever I get a buffalo chicken sandwich, or buffalo wings, I always dip them in MORE buffalo sauce because I can't get enough. So yea, with this all said, I suppose the diagnosis is clear: I'm a dipper.

Chew on That

Cookies or Biscotti in to milk
French Fries in to a mixure of Srihacha sauce & mayo
Veggies or pita chips in to hummus
Chips in to guacamole
Veggies in to spinach dip

I am a dipping fiend!!

Sandwiches in soup
Doughnuts/toast/scones/anything bread-like in coffee
Gingersnaps in tea

I just realized this - and I can't believe it - but I have never had cheese fondue! I must do this soon!!
