Who is your favorite food ad icon?

My best-loved food ad icons are: Tony the Tiger, Pillsbury Doughboy and Mr Peanut. Do you have other favorites?

The original Keebler Elves! :-D There was a traveling special effects exhibit at the Baltimore science museum once, with the Winnebago from SpaceBalls, the two whales from Star Trek IV (one had the top open showing the servos), and the matte painting from Ghostbusters after Dana's apartment blew up and the GBs were walking through the wreckage. Along one wall was the Keebler exhibit for the ad where one elf was riding a bike, where the bike was attached to a pole that was attached to the center of a round table. The little set they'd build was in a case about two feet long, with the bike, table, etc., and a trench in the floor of the tiny room where apparently the little guy had been riding forever around that table. The descriptions told how they'd build these little sets, film the "live action", then animate the elves into the footage. Some of the animation cells were also there, overlaying still photos of the background of that little set, to show how it all would be combined. And I was standing there, wondering why the Heck I'd not brought along a camera ... :-(

Jolly Green Giant. Nobody messes with his ass.

the Bimbo bear who says "aqui hay Bimbo"

As a kid, always wanted my mom to buy Mrs. Butterworth's pancake syrup -- loved that grandmotherly brown bottle! Definitely Tony the Tiger, and for a while had a thing for the baseball player on the Wheaties boxes.

Snap, Crackle and Pop!

The Stay Puffted marshmallow man!

Elsie the Cow.

I really loved the Jolly Green Giant as a kid. As an adult I loved the Taco Bell chihuahua in the first commercial, but hated almost all the others. He didn't have legs, so to speak. Not like the Jolly Green Giant, at least.

Obviously.

Does any remember that weird claymation Dominoe's pizza mini-man? He lived in their kitchen or something? I don't really remember...
I also loved the pillsbury doughboy, and count chocola and friends! They impressed my young mind greatly.

Or for awhile, campbells soups had an add for chicken soup with stars that featured an E.T. like alien. I loved him too.

Tucan Sam, and I liked the Captain on Captain Crunch.

I always felt bad for the Trix rabbit because he never got any cereal!

toucan sam! i have a big schnoz, so i identify with him.

also, i think he's gay, and so he reminds me of my gay friends who have cute nephews!

daft punk is excellent cooking music.

Cap'n Crunch's old nemeses The Soggies. The polymorphous globs of curdled milk who continually tried to break through the crunch barrier surrounding Cap'n Crunch.

Crackle...he is sassy!
