I know this isn't *super* crazy, but my friend Robbie taught me to grill up Salami. We use Hebrew National and it's doggone delicious.

there is a grilled banana and chocolate dessert that I learned from my dad (who got it from the chef of his favorite restaurant).
it's absolutely delicious, easy to make....and you get a LOT of weird looks when you go to put it on the grill.

When i was a kid, my barbie dolls, just to see what would happen...
Seriously, bananas still in the skin, split lengthways down the middle to slip some chocolate in, wrap it all up in foil and onto the grill. Delicious!

I work with someone who put their Philadelphia Eagles jersey on the grill right after they lost the Superbowl a few years ago... yum!

I want to know about that dessert drewjordan is talking about!

brie? frisee? (not together) And the banana/chocolate thing is a TOTAL camp counselor trick. Try it with caramel bits too.

Donuts. especially powdered or glazed ones. They caramelize delightfully.

It's probably not weird at all, but we really like cauliflower grilled.

My dad's bare foot. Ok, well, he did it himself, which was a good lesson in, "Never clean your Hibachi barefooted while first placing the still-hot grill sections on the stone patio ..."

Peaches/apricots/other stone fruit--not so weird, but also not something most people think to put on the grill.

I put a pre-soaked cedar board on a grill, which I allowed to heat through and char - I then grilled onions on it with brown sugar and butter - although I don't actually remember it being too sucessful, perhaps grill the onions, wrapped in tin foil or something, next to the cedar board. Or put a piece of fish on there or something. yum!

Yeah, a soaked cedar plank isn't going to get hot enough to grill on -- it'll help smoke and flavor fish quite effectively.

Brussels sprouts. Toss 'em in olive oil, salt and pepper first. Skewer 'em if you don't have a fish rack.
One of my favorite veggies anyway, but the grill does something amazing to them. Try it!
