SE your favorite food site? your 2nd Fav? if not what is #1?

the question pretty much said it....

I also like Eater.com #2
obviously you can tell my #1 by how much i post on here :)

15 Comments:

thefreshloaf.com is #1 - I'm a serious bread baking junkie. The second is the food whore...great fun - I wish she posted more...

I have to say, Serious Eats may be the one I visit most because it changes so often ... but Jaden's Steamy Kitchen is actually my favorite one. Check her blog entry from yesterday, The Secret of Cracking a Coconut, to see why she's so popular among her readers.

epicurious.com - Recipes from Gourmet and Bon Apetit, etc., what I like most is readers' reviews of the recipes, it's great to have non-biased reviews..also have a good selection of "healthy" low calorie recipes. I too visit Serious Eats most because it changes so often.

Serious Eats is by far number one in my book. But a very, very close second is Chow.com. If you haven't been there yet, you should go. Great recipes, articles and community of people who take their food very seriously (like here).

Serious Eats is my # 1 but also enjoy AHT, AG, Homesick Texan, Meathenge, Food Whore, and Waiter Rant.

AHT? AG? Clarification for those of us who are relative newcomers, please. Thanks---

Sorry lemons, A hamburger today and the amateur gourmet. I might also add The pioneer women cooks.

I agree with Elaine -- epicurious for good, tested and rated recipes. Also amateur gourmet, but I like this one because the content varies EVERY day.

Serious Eats is #1 since it changes so often and has good, fresh articles. :)
I also like Orangette, AG, Waiter Rant, the Paupered Chefs, The Girl Who Ate Everything, Homesick Texan, and Carol Cooks Keller.

Any other "rejects" from eG here?

SB (looking for a new "home")

I frequently visit the Taunton board for Fine Cooking Magazine. Love Cassandra Crossing - a site born out of the implosion of the TVFN boards.

Chocolate & Zucchini is a fun read -- Clotilde writes well.

I take a peek at SE most days because it's active with good topics. But one of my other faves is Zagat -- not technically a "food" site but still, all about food! The discussion boards over there can be quite amusing.

i read SE daily as well as New York Magazine site. I enjoy smitten kitchen as well. the strong buzz is great as i receive emails 2x a week from andrea strong about restaurants and food happenings in the city.

I second Jaden's Steamy Kitchen, she's a lovely, erudite (and prolific) blogger who's site is a wonderful resource with great photography to match.

Also, MattBites for style and substance.

I also second Delicious Days == The Godfather of food blogs. Like MattBites, the design and photography are stunning.
