Some friends and I will be making out first visit to Paris next month. We are looking for advice as to the charcouterie, patisserie, boulangerie, bistros and markets that we shouldn't miss in order to sample the best (or the most French) or Paris. We don't have much interest in the haute end of things, and definitely not any tourist destinations; we would like to take in the sort of special, perhaps off the beaten path food finds that we wouldn't know about on our first trip to the city.
