How Many Potato Salads Do You Make?

Years ago, I read somewhere that every good cook has at least three potato salads in their repertoire. Generally speaking, I'm not one to worry about what "they say", but it got me started thinking. I do three, one mayo-mustard-sweet pickles-no celery-plenty of onion, which is my basic, another almost mashed potato with sweet-hot pickle relish and lots of mustard, and a sour cream-mayo-dill-red onion with skin-on red potatoes. What about you?

I make a traditional mustard-Hellmans mayo recipe BUT I add a little curry powder to the mayo mixture and I crumble in a pound of bacon. I always get compliments on this recipe. It is delicious! I found this recipe several years ago in magazine. It won a potato salad contest.

I make the one I posted and a German-style one from the Joy of Cooking. I'll cop to lacking creativity in the potato salad department.

A pound of bacon to how many pounds of potatoes?

I make one. I have made it forever and people love it. Mayo, onion, celery, dill and dry mustard. People rave about it. No pickle, no relish, hot cut up potatoes.

german style, a dill/yogurt one, and my new favorite - an asian inspired with cilantro & ginger.

Just one, the old family favorite. Boiled potatoes, mayo, celery, onion and hard boiled eggs.
