French Cocktails--both Classic and Contemporary
I have had trouble researching this topic. Does anyone know any favorite recipes, restaurants (that actually have the cocktail menu online,) or websites that might help me?

I have a pretty extensive cocktail library, so I can say with fair certainty that the French do not have a history of cocktails, they have a history of disdain for them, particularly before a meal. There may be contemporary ones, as every place becomes like every place else, but no classics (unless you count Kirs and Communards).

BaHa is correct, the French believe cocktails to be palate-killers so any pre-dinner libations are mild or slightly sweet. The French have quote a few drink options, though, if you're interested in aperitifs...
