Beverages: Are you a Caf or Decaf?

Over time, I have come to realize I have a minimum (& max) daily caffeine requirement. 12 oz. brewed coffee before noon or I get mean--ha! After that, water & decaf beverages only. What's your beverage of choice?

It might sound totally and annoyingly health concious, but ever since I lived in Korea, I can't get enough of unsweetened, brown rice green tea. Hot or cold, its like the miracle drink. It has more vitamin C than orange juice, caffeine for an energy burst, antioxidants, and it (apparently) speeds up your metabolism. I try to only drink coffee on weekends, and water is very important.

Although a glass of sun-brewed ice tea with lemon, a touch of sugar and mint is the best summer beverage ever.

I can only drink coffee before noon without suffering - rooibos tea is the answer. Let it brew for at least 4 minutes (or more) and you'll never notice the lack of caffeine.. loads of health benifits, antioxidants etc. but it taste great.

Coffee. Two cups upon waking up, before any human interaction is required. But if I have caffeine after 4 in the afternoon, I can't sleep. I've considered quitting caffeine altogether, but I've already given up drinking, smoking, sugar, and all the illegal stuff, so I figure I need to keep my remaining vice!

I don't make coffee at home. I have it when I go out, usually just one cup that I take a long time over. More than two and I get a bit antsy. At home I have tea with lots of milk. Plain old Tetleys in the morning, and sometimes a really nice Afternoon Blend in the afternoon. Otherwise, lots and lots of water (from the tap).

I have to have at least two cups of coffee first thing in the morning, some kind of diet carbonated beverage in the afternoon (usually diet Dr. Pepper), and a cup of green tea before bed. Sadly, my caffeine consumption will probably dramatically increase when I go back to school next week.

I have to drink 2 cups of coffee when I get to work, but if I won't drink any after noon. I drink coffee on the weekends but I like green tea. Who drinks decaf? If you don't want caffeine don't drink coffee!

Am I the only Serious Eater still working and going to school?!?!? No coffee after noon? I think the last time that happened I was still jumping rope with pigtails. The regime of student working to support her doctorate degree......a pot of coffee with breakfast; a large black coffee with lunch, and then at least two espresso shots with dessert. Bed by midnight, up again by six. The day I drink decaf will be the day I win the lotto. I am more likely to drop dead due to a caffeine overdose or a stroke.
