Barnyard Finger Foods
I am throwing my little boy's 1st year Birthday party. The theme is a Barnyard Bash. Is there any suggestions for cute finger foods that relate to barnyards? All I can think of is pigs in the blanket.

chicken fingers maybe? or make something new up, like cowpies (something chocolate, of course).

Neither fish nor bears are really part of a barnyard, but these goldfish crackers look cute and are rather yummy.

you could have them all make barnyard cookies with properly themed cookie cutters and pre-cut dough. Or you could make houses out of graham crackers and sugar syrup (faux gingerbread type houses) and get them to decorate their 'barns' with animal cracker cookies, candy, licorice, icing etc.
here are a bunch of different recipes:

I'm not an alarmist in general, but having nearly choked to death on one myself, I want to pass along the stat that hot dogs are one of the leading causes of choking deaths among children. Sorry; I really dislike posters who throw cold water on things, but I thought you should know.

What about chocolate haystacks? I've also seen them called bird's nests. Noodles (chow mein or spaghetti) fried and dipped in chocolate.

you could do something like make mini pb&j sandwiches and cut them into barnyard shapes with cookie cutters.
