What is the best restaurant in New York right now?
I am heading to New York in a couple of weeks with a group of friends that are serious foodies. We want to go out for one fantastic dinner. Somewhere fabulous with mind blowing food. So submit your suggestions. Any cuisine. Any price point. What is your favourite restaurant? Where do you dream of having dinner? Thanks for your suggestions!!!

I say you go either, Balthazar, Sushi Seki, Babbo, Lupa or Eleven Madison Park

My favourite restaurant is Momofuku Ssam Bar but I have dinner there all the time! In my dreams, it's all of my wishlist restaurants that I want to try out! I wish I were dining at Per Se or Babbo or Sushi Yasuda or Eleven Madison Park or Le Bernardin...

Do the tasting menu at Eleven Madison Park.

If money is no object, then Per Se would be the place, but on short notice, you will not get in. The new chef at Eleven Madison Park, and at Gramercy Tavern are getting rave reviews. But Jean Georges never disappoints.

momofuku is soooo overrated!
i agree on per se. they have an insane tasting menu and they also have a vegetarian one (which i am giving myself for my 30th birthday...which is a few years off, ha!). they also have great wine pairings, and for non-drinkers, non-alcoholic cocktail pairings. something for everyone!

I dream of having dinner at two restaurants near my apartment in Red Hook: Good Fork and 360. My roommate raves about 360 but I've never been. Not sure if you are into trekking into Brooklyn, but if so, I would try these two places.
