Serious Eats editorial assistant Robyn Lee's got you covered for dessert: First Bites in Paris. And you should check out the Paris posts on her site.

on our honeymoon we stayed on the Rue Cler in paris...a wonderful pedestrian street near l'ecole militaire. At the end of the street is a restaurant called le comptoir du seizieme and we loved it! fabulous little neighborhood restaurant with good atmosphere and great food.

Adam is one step ahead of me (thanks, d00d)! ;) Arathi, feel free to poke around my site and ask me any questions if you've got em. I'm not an expert, but I can tell you one thing; don't eat any American food while you're in Paris! ;)
I agree with karmakimmie's recommendation to check out rue Cler. Lots of food on and around that street.

I haven't been to Paris in three years, but I went 2x a year for many years. But I never missed eating at Benoit, or Chez L'Ami de Louis, when I could get a reservation. I also love Jacques Cagna. Then of course, one morning you should sit at Cafe Les Deux Magots or Cafe de Flore on Blvd. Saint Germain, not so much for the food, but to inhale Paris. Have fun!

Macaroons at Pierre Herme.
Laduree for cakes and coffee.
Berthillon for ice cream.
Going to Paris requires your presence at all three places.

Ambassade d'Auvergne in Paris, and there's a website; I just don't have it here.
And La Merenda in Nice; no phone, tiny and divine.
