Fantasy. It is so hard to get to 100% organic. I've tried having a vegatable garden for years without using chemicals and it's near impossible. Pests, disease and a big pain the A**! I finally gave up this year. I'll just keep my little herb garden and buy my vegatales from the market. Organic beer? They do not have to list the ingredients anyway, so who are going to trust?

Here are the guidelines for food stuffs and beverages with and 'organic' label:
The USDA has identified for three categories of labeling organic products:
100% Organic: Made with 100% organic ingredients
Organic: Made with at least 95% organic ingredients
Made With Organic Ingredients: Made with a minimum of 70% organic ingredients with strict restrictions on the remaining 30% including no GMOs (genetically modified organisms)

It's totally possible to make good, organic beer. I just tried New Belgium Brewery's Organic beer 'Mothership Wit'. It's delicious!
I've kept a modest organic vegetable garden for the past three years. It takes a little more weeding but that's mostly it. Lettuces are especially easy to grow. Fresh baby lettuces, yay!

Right on, jonfoxx.
I, for one, certainly do not trust producers who call their product "organic."
For that matter, I don't trust producers on just about anything they claim.
Organic beer?? . . . pure fantasy.

@jonfoxX: I must disagree. Organic is easy. I have organic bananas, panas, jobos, acerolas, and platanos. We simply let them grow.

Lou, you have an unfair advantage, though, that the rest of us do not enjoy.

Organic is a stupid word in third world countries, duh, its mostly all organic...
As far as calling your product organic, its a lot less stringent than the first comment leads you to believe.
Like most things in the US qualifications are a lot lower than the actual expectation.
