If I opened your food pantry door...

...what 3 edible items would I see on the shelf? Looking in my food pantry today, I see Kashi Cinnamon Harvest cereal, chilean black raisins & a 4 year old unopened box of cocoa powder.

I am at work right now, but if I close my eyes and imagine my cupboard I see a variety of canned beans, canned tuna and/or salmon, and canned tomatoes and dry pasta. All the necessary staples!

Let's see here ... both cream-style and whole kernel canned corn (I drain the whole kernel and mix it with the cream-style for better texture), Uncle Ben's microwave rice pouches, and lots of jarred spaghetti sauce.

roasted/salted almonds, Biscoff cookies, olive oil, sea salt, Crystal Light and "This Fig Walked Into a Bar" fruit bars from Trader Joe's.

Jasmine rice, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, salad dressing, assorted varieties of crystal light, balsamic vinegar, soup, cereal, almonds, dried cranberries, tea, vinegar, honey mustard kettle chips, Corky's bbq sauce, splenda, dark chocolate bars, popcorn.

There is one shelf dedicated to baking that houses assorted nuts, cocoa, extracts, cream of tarter, baking powder, baking soda, cupcake liners, chocolate chips, etc.

bear naked peanut butter & jelly granola, king arthur bread flour, lots of earl grey tea

Tons of nuts, tons of canned tuna, Kavali super thin crackers.

White Vinegar, Ketchup, Adobo Seasoning (lots of tea also) I usually keep cans of green beans, however, i have none in the pantry at this time...

Extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar and herbal teas. There's lots more, but these hit my eyes first.

herbal tea, pasta, canned beans (loads more than that, but you only said 3)

The question for my pantry should be "What WOULDN'T I see?" It's a cross cultural mess in there.

I'm with the Library Lady.....my pantry has a little bit of everything. One one shelf you'll find pastas & rice, another shelf has canned tomatoes, bean & fruit. In the bottom cupboard I have a full, deep shelf of condiments. The teas are in baskets on top of my cook book shelf. Spices & oils have their own little place too....I need a bigger kitchen!

Only 3?
Beans. Whole wheat pasta. Lentils.

28 oz cans of whole tomatos, a variety of pastas, cans of tuna. and number of other staples.

You'd see some olive oil, several cans of black beans, boxes of cat food, some laksa paste, 2 cans of coconut milk, arborio rice, regular rice, some breakfast cereal (I use it to mix with yogurt), a bottle of tomato sauce, sesame oil, peanut oil, spices, and pasta.

give me a break...it would be marshmellows and canned broth/stock

A shoe box full of tea, LIFE cereal, canned tuna, canned beans, currants, dried cranberries, oatmeal, a bar of dark chocolate, and packets of chilli seasoning that my mom thought I wanted. She doesn't believe me that I make it from scratch.
