QotD: Fill in the blank: I can't keep _____ in the house.

Here's mine: cereal of any kind. I'll eat a box in two sittings.

46 Comments:

cherry tomatoes

good chocolate ice cream of any kind

cookies, ice cream, peanut butter, any cereal besides wheetabix, cakes, chips. if i keep any of that i'll probably eat all of it in one sitting!

Cookies...I think if I eat them all in one day I don't have to worry about eatting them for the rest of the week. I know silly concept.

Nutella. No way.

Potato chips - even if I attempt portion control with the half-ounce baglets, I'll eat a couple of 'em a day.

Also Planters dry-roasted peanuts, Ben & Jerry's, and (apparently) cake (it just doesn't happen very often).

Cheese . . . any kind of cheese!

A friend of mine brought Jordan almonds to a wine and cheese gathering once and I became addicted. Now when I allow myself the guilty pleasure of buying them, I have to be careful or I will eat the whole bag in one sitting!

Cereal, ditto. And Mallomars. Forget it - the box will be gone in a day.

I can't keep anything chocolate in the house...

A nice bottle of red.

Forget trying to start a wine rack...

Nilla Wafers and Snack Pack chocolate pudding. If they're together, they only have minutes to live.

Sweets of any kind. I have a HUGE sweet tooth.

Pretzels. But only the Tiny Twists. And, raisins. I usually eat them together.

teen aged girls (late teens)

dried figs! and chocolate, of course.

Granola of any kind, especially if it's homemade. Also: raisins. I always end up eating way too many in one sitting and then get horribly queasy.

The stupid sour gummi bears from Bristol Farms, they're different and more delicious than most sour gummi bears. They must be made from crack, the pack is usually gone in 3.4 seconds.

Aleppo pepper; I probably go through a pound a month.
Oh, and those ice pops that are wrapped in plastic.

australian licorice. especially the red.

cheesecake

pistachio nuts

lemon squares. especially when i make them with meyer lemons.

cereal. i cant keep ANY cereal in the house either.

Trader Joe's Macadamia/Cashew Nut butter. Evilly good.

Tortilla chips. I do not know why.

Soft pretzels... They just taste so good warm and soft...

cereal, chips, and pretzels

cereal, chips, and pretzels

With two "young adults" in the house, the question is what *can* I keep in the house? The answer would be fresh spinach, Swiss chard and... No, that's it. Spinach and chard.

Coffee ice cream, Greek tzaziki sauce, pralines, chocolate covered toffee, pickled okra, Canadian bacon, Bangers (Irish Sausages)

homemade iced tea, tortilla chips, and good beer.

dry roasted and salted cashews and cashew butter -- I'm a goner with these around

sweet pickled cucumbers, roasted almonds, green and black chocolate (the dark almond kind especially), smoked tofu, sugar snap peas, hob nob biscuits.

Cereal, because my 13 y/o boy inhales it.

OREOS and chips and dips in any combination, because I inhale them.

Chips and ice cream....they don't stand a chance.

Girl Scout Thin Mints & Samoas....they don't have a prayer.
Haagan Dazs Strawberry Shortcake ice cream
Florentine Cookies
Fresh Raspberries

K-Y warming gel and crystal meth.

Castelvetrano olives and Nutella.

Claussen Pickles and French onion chip dip. ..not together of course.

Red wine, chocolate, and cereal, especially Puffins by Barbara's Bakery. I think that stuff has crack in it.

I go through phases...most recently its been dried apricots, gummi bears (only the Haribo kind!) and Nutella. Especially if there are sourdough pretzels around, I can go through a normal Nutella jar in a week (and I live alone. nice, i know.)

Oreo, hell, most cookies are not safe with me around. Nutella is teh_evil, i'm telling you. It has CRACK in it.

Coffee ice cream, pralines, pickled okra, chocoalte covered toffee, malted milk balls, strawberries
