Have you ever noticed how many times Alton Brown says, "Uh"?

I love him and he's still my favorite FN star. But now I can't stand watching because the "uh" is so annoying and distracting. I can't help myself from counting how many times he says it.

Me too! I actually can't stand him and that's one of the main reasons why. He's not as bad as RR or Emeril, but still he really really grates on my nerves.

I've never noticed it but at least he does a show that is actually interesting and instructive unlike the throw away shows from RR or Emeril.

I always thought that it was due to his accent...My professor says uh at the end of words/sentences a lot... It's because of where he grew up...

I've never noticed that! I'm going to look for it next time I watch "Good Eats."

But even if he says it a lot, I still... uh, love him. Yay AB!

I'd rather hear Uh from Alton than Yummo from RR.

I've never noticed it, either.

I'm with jonfoxx on Ray-Ray the hoarse Rah-Rah. Everytime she breaks into kindergarten lingo I just want to reach into the set and strangle her! Yummo and sammie are just the most grating examples. That sort of language is much too immature for a woman pushing 40.

Yeah you are right, RR's yumm-o and stoop is way worse than AB's "uh"

I feel a cheese grater situation in progress with ALUMINUM foil, thank you Lou!
