What is your favorite (quick and easy) breakfast food?

What is your favorite (quick and easy) breakfast food? I'm always in a rush in the mornings so I don't have time to make something fancy, and I'm tired of cereal/oatmeal!

My quick and easy breakfast food, if I can call it one, it a Cafe Mocha. :-) Long live the independent coffee shop.

Yogurt.....just grab it from the fridge & go!

peanut butter on toast or waffle.

Greek yogurt with honey drizzled on top. Yum!

PB & banana over toast, a sprinkle of cinnamon and salt too

Whole wheat bagel with Peanut butter and sometimes banana.

Toast with cashew butter (!!) or peanut butter.

i eat breakfast at work, so the night before, i make a fruit salad and bring that along with a plain yogurt. sometimes i sprinkle in some granola.

leftovers from last night's dinner are often great for breakfast, and sometimes I eat them cold for even an even quicker meal

fruit and dairy (i.e. berries and yogurt, apple and cheese) are pretty quick and portable too

omelet with anything that was left over in the fridge - takes all of 10 minutes to make...

Plain yogurt, one of Trader Joe's fruit sauces (apricot or peach are excellent), a sprinkling of Kashi Go Lean Crunch, dried cherries, and (new addition as of this morning) some candied ginger.

Or, toaster waffles spread with peanut butter & jelly.

1 scrambled egg with some grated cheese and a dash of hot sauce wrapped up in a tortilla. Doesn't take long, and you can eat it easily on the go.

These are all such good suggestions, thank you everyone! I'm jotting things down to pick up after work today.

I "invented" a tasty and healthy little breakfast sandwich the other day. Out of bread, I sandwiched egg whites scrambled with Parmesan and Italian spices (it takes two minutes, people!) and a slice of precooked Canadian bacon (heated in the pan for a minute) between two halves of a green bell pepper. Crunchy, delicious, and portable!

Cottage Cheese Pancakes: so quick and delicious.

I always keep hard boiled eggs on hand. I butter so toast and slice some tomatoes and a hard boiled egg and place it on the toast, drizzle with a little olive oil and salt and pepper. It is very good and contains just about all the food groups.

I'll add to the many yogurt responses!

Wheat toast with pesto sauce

I make a simple french toast using whole wheat bread and cover with berries...takes less than 10 minutes and I get a very healthy breakfast.

one egg, one slice of bacon and a roll or english muffin. One non stick pan and 3 mins later its egg mcbreaky.

toasted english muffin with peanut butter and sliced banana
or plain nonfat yogurt (preferably greek, like Fage) with good granola (homemade, whole foods or trader joes)

I eat yogurt with honey, flax meal, nuts and/or fruit. or apple with peanut butter. really filling!

breakfast bagel at the coffee shop

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! You rocked my breakfast world. :)

Piece of whole wheat toast, layer of fresh spinach, fried egg occasionally a piece of cheese melted on top, 5 minutes.

Fried potato cubes made from leftover baked potato, soft scrambled egg quickly cooked in the same pan, toast with butter. Ketchup. Makes a good supper, too.

smoothie with banana, strawberries or other fruit, milk or juice and a tablespoon of Ovaltine or malted milk powder
cottage cheese with pineapple
occasionally yogurt with flax seed meal; I'll try it with honey some time...
waffle with butter and a bit of cinnamon and sugar
The next time you make pancakes, freeze leftovers, and you have a quick way to prepare and eat them!
toast with: apple butter, peanut butter, cinnamon and sugar, jam, honey
with a banana on the side
and when I have to force myself to eat (no appetite because of medical conditions and meds)...I go with a nutritional supplement. Sometimes it's easier to drink than eat something, especially when you just feel you can't. Meal replacements are also convenient and portable. I like Carnation instant breakfast (all flavors) and Ensure (chocolate is my favorite, not a fan of vanilla, and strawberry is pretty good. Has anyone used the Butter Pecan before? If so, is it worth buying?

Smoothie -

1 banana
1/2c cottage cheese
1/2c yogurt
2-3tbsp water or milk
1/4-1/2c berries (frozen works great!)
1tsp honey
1 tsp ground flax

Blend, toss in a travel mug, and enjoy :-)

I like peanut butter on a whole grain waffle with banana slices. I've also spread cream cheese on a wheat tortilla, topped with banana slices, cinammon, and little bit of sugar. Mixing different fruits in my cereal keeps me from getting too bored with it. :O)

Toasted English muffin, scrambled egg in the microwave, a little cheese.
Yogurt with granola and dried fruit.
Oatmeal. *wry smile* I keep frozen fruit and lots of spices on hand, so that helps.
A Carnation Instant Breakfast, peanut butter, banana, and milk smoothie.
Cottage cheese with a banana and toast.
Hard-boiled egg and toast.
Frozen waffles/pancakes with peanut butter and honey.
Cheese toast with a side of fruit.
Scrambled egg and cheese wraps (with or without breakfast meat - precooking breakfast meats help!)

I've been experimenting with breakfast egg muffins - sort of like breakfast casserole, but made in a muffin tin and frozen and reheated. I'm not quite happy with it yet, but I think I'm close!
