Lunch spots: Flatiron District
So, we just moved offices to 20th & 5th from Broadway / Houston and we take our lunch seriously, as most Serious Eaters would. We have left a bunch of great lunch places behind (Dom's, Despana, Alidoro, La Esquina, Pepe Rosso, La Conquista, Blue Ribbon Market, Balthazar, DeMarco's, the list goes on).
As much as I want to eat Shake Shack everday, I need a bit more variety in life and lunch. We did have a great Reuben at Eisenberg's on Friday. Any other suggestions?

Try City Bakery on 18th(great salad bar), or Le Pain Quitidian in ABC home store, (gound level), on 17th between Bway and 5th there are a multitude of places, Coffee Shop on Union Square and16th, Whole Foods on 14th, Haru is on Park Ave South and 18th, Republic on Union Sq., Mayrose on Bway and21st, the list is endless, so have fun discovering places

i also have an office in that neighborhood. morning coffee is pretty good at j'adore {their almond croissants are delish}.
you also have punch, mesa, angelo and maxie's, ottimo, and les halles right there. if you want to walk uptown, there are a plethora of great cheap korean places on 32nd street between broadway and fifth. my favorite is woorijip -- cafeteria style, so you can have a little of everything.

I use to work on 24th and Madison.
I second the Mayrose mention. You also have Tabla & 11 Madison Park there.
There's a slew of great places down Park Avenue South and around the Union Square area (City Crab, Angelo & Maxie's, French Bistro, Zen Palate, Pipa, Olives - at the W Hotel).
Not a lunch place (they do dinners only), Charlie Palmer's Kitchen 22. I adore this place.

i also work in that neighborhood; i'm not a fan of mayrose; very overpriced for diner fare. and alot of those restaurants mentioned above are for people with serious expense accounts. i recommend uncle mo's burritos on 19th (5/6th) and the best italian is via emilia on 21st. taralucca e vino on 18 is good too.
