Have you tried any new ice cream flavors lately?

Summer's coming up and you know what that means! Last week I noticed that Haagen Daz had this new "reserve" flavors, and I bought one to try it out - I got Pomegranate with Dark Chocolate Chips. It is very delicious (and expensive). I know that Ben & Jerry's came out with Stephen Colbert's flavor - I forget what it's called. So what have you tried lately? Did you like it?

I've recently tried 3 flavors I'll definitely add to my list of favorites: green tea, red bean, and creme brulee. The green tea and red bean flavors I found in a local Asian market. The creme brulee was made by Ben & Jerry's.

Last night, i had an ice cream flavor called Graham Cracker Smacker made by a local ice cream company called Longford's! It is sweet cream ice cream with huge chunks of chocolate covered graham cracker. It was so effin good! I also had Confetti Cake (which is just cake batter ice cream with sprinkles) and that was delicious also! It tasted JUST like a cupcake and it was the perfect sweetness. Unlike carvel's cake batter ice cream, which is way too sweet and makes you feel sick after 2 bites, this one was perfect and delish!

Taro Root ice cream.

I'm not a big ice cream fan but anytime I visit my sister-in-law up in Massachusetts I must have Grape Nut Ice Cream made at Kimball's. It's a local dairy farm and it's the best ice cream I've ever had, basically their vanilla with heaping handfuls of Grape Nuts cereal throughout. It's freezing here in Maryland today but I'd eat a huge vat of it right now!

Colbert's ice cream I think is called "Americone Dream"; I have yet to find it as well.

My latest new/favorite ice cream is Haagen Dazs Sticky Toffee Pudding. A close second is their Mayan Chocolate.

Woo City has an amazing peanut butter ice cream that tastes like peanut butter fudge. Yum!
Marilyn? Where did you find the Haagen Dazs Sticky Toffee Pudding? My husband and I have been looking for it for months to no avail.

NSW, where did you get the taro root ice cream and how did it taste?

i tried asparagus ice cream. it was not too tasty though, probably because it tasted very much like asparagus. yuck! i did have the most amazing life-changing banana ice cream though. it was at a place called holotta ice cream on oahu (pearlridge mall).
