Recommendations for High Altitude Cookbook?

My wife is a very good baker; her cookies, however, don't turn out in Denver the way they used to on the east coast (according to her -- I find them highly eatable!). Not much else is affected by the 5,000 foot difference. It is her birthday soon, so does anyone have a trusted source for baking at a higher altitude?

I don't have any personal experience with high altitude baking, but I found this article on the Science of Cooking that explains the science of it all and provides some guidelines for adjusting your recipes. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the article! And the site's image is great, too.

'High Altitude Baking' by the Colorado State University Cooperative Extension is a great little cookbook. The extension is also a great place to call or email with specific problems. Also - the local flour is a bit heartier than in other places, so your wife might like to experiment with different brands.
