Where in Bergen County are you? I have always loved Baumgart's in Englewood. They have a chinese menu and an american one. They make their own ice cream and have fabulous homemade desserts - pies, cobblers, cakes etc. Good sandwiches, salads, and chinese. It is a neighborhood institution.
Also used to be a great french place in bergenfield, the name of which escapes me right now.

I'm in the Paramus area......and yes, I know of Baumgart's in Englewood. I go to the one in Edgewater. They also have a restaurant in Ridgewood. I agree with you....I love their menu. Thanks!!!!

As you probably already know, there are tons of Korean Restaurants in Bergen County. My favorites in Palisades Park include:
Myung Dong Kalgugsoo (452 Broad Ave)
This place is named after a very famous noodle shop in Seoul, which serves "Kal KukSoo" or "Knife Noodle Soup," the noodles are so named as the pasta dough is actually cut with a knife. Obviously I would suggest you go with an order of their signature dish and branch out from there.
You Chun Neng Myun (135 Broad Ave)
Another noodle shop, but this one has what I think may be some of the best Neng Myun in the area. Again as the name suggests the best dish at this house is the Neng Myun (Cold Buckwheat Noodles). However unlike most Neng Myun that is commonly served in the US, the noodles here also contain some arrowroot (chic) in addition to the buckwheat.
If you want a more generic Korean Food experience, you might want to try San Chon (Ft. Lee Plaza, 1550 Lemoine Ave, Fort Lee). They have a nice Korean Style Prix Fixe Menu (Han JungShik) where you can choose a variety of dishes for only $29.99 per couple.
