Where's the best Pho in NYC?

I've been craving that fantastic Vietnamese condiment-laced soup Pho, lately... Where's the best place in NYC to indulge this craving?

Pho Grand probably.

Honestly, I've been to quite a few VN'ese spots in NYC and Pho Grand is the best you'll probably get. Others pointed me to it after I asked a similar question. Click on my name to see my other posts, mostly about Vietnamese food. I used to live in VN (Saigon and Hanoi) so I'm always looking for something good in the city. Let me know what you find.

Bao Noodles continues to be my favorite spot for VN'ese food in NYC. Thai Son isn't bad but a bit generic. Pho Grand is nice, though I've only been once and had Pho Tai which was decent... nice broth at least!

I know nothing about where to get pho in NYC, but I thought I'd chime in with an interesting pho observation.

You know what city has an amazingly high number of restaurants with good, authentic pho? Des Moines. Yep, in Iowa. Actually, Des Moines has a wide range of really good ethnic restaurants. I love going there because there are so many good places to eat.

Pho Bang on Bowery and Mott closed last year and had the best pho in the city...still searching and tasting and have yet to find a good place...
