A cup of very milky tea and a ginger biscuit. This combination is somehow extremely fortifying.

Ice cream.....preferably vanilla with real maple syrup poured over the top...that makes anything better! :-)

il labratorio de gelato mango sorbet. can't expain it--the taste is extraordinary and the bright orange color cheers me up.

Ice cream! My current favorite are those It's It chocolate-covered oatmeal sandwiches. They are so expensive, but oh so worth it.

potato pierogen and mushroom/kraut pierogen, boiled, not fried, slathered in butter and sour cream, covered with onion sauteed/steamed to translucency (at least 1/2 of the entire weight of the dish in onion), black pepper, and fleur de sel. to die - and, of course, one would die if one did that all the time, but, just once in a while ...

Homemade Rice Krispy Treats. Nobody can be sad when they eat one (or a whole pan) of those.

Ice cream, Earl Grey tea with milk and sugar, hostess twinkies, stinky cheese and crusty bread. Not all at the same time though ;-)

Sorry. I couldn't choose just one....

Homemade chocolate pudding and a couple of graham crackers on the side.
Or, in the summer, a very small cup Rita's vanilla custard from the Rita's Water Ice Company known throughout the Delaware Valley. This stuff is rich so a small is all you really need to brighten your day.

I'm thinking a hot cup of Oregon Chai made with steamed milk. That always brightens my day!

Homemade guacamole dip and corn chips -- real guacamole has no mayo or sour cream in it -- freshly chopped jalapenos will keep you honest!
