Processed versus "The real deal " what's your choice ??

Is paying the extra price really worth what you get ??

Do you prefer supermarkets for their prices and convenience or small specialist local shops for their freshness and the knowledge of knowing where the produce comes from ??

what's your choice ??

tell me ... I think quality , freshness and assurance are really important ... but what do you think ??

Supermarket food is blah. I want the real deal! Not processed crap, nothin made in a plant with dirty machines touching the food that goes to my tummy! I shop at my local stores, fresh and real. Plus I know the salespeople and owner, and they help me with what i want and know what I need! Not like those supermarkets where it is impersonal and the cashier is just another john on the street.

it has been a long slow lesson -- took about thirty years to learn. to wit: 98% of the time you get what you pay for. every once in a while you get a bargain, but believe me, it is offset by the bazillion times you have actually overpaid for your bargain.

I agree dish. I learned the hard way too. But i like sellers who are knowledgeabe bout food. don't you agree?

nothing better for me ... than a seller thats interested in the food they are showing you, I have a great cheese place i go to, every time I go ... would you like to try some? ... have you tried this ?...this compliments that? perhaps I am a sucker at heart .. but so what for me its all part of the richness of life .. it is so boring gong into another supermarket ... they are all the same ..
