Overcoming the wrath of grapes: any cures for a hangover?

Over the years, I've heard of some pretty interesting (and scary) food-based hangover cures. I'd like to compile a list of them all in one place. Can you help me out by submitting some of the more interesting ones you've heard about?

Don't worry, you don't have to test them out before you submit, this list is just for entertainment purposes!

While I was celebrating my birthday a month ago, I fell in love with cider amongst having old favorites. On an empty stomach. Anyhow, my sweet husband gave me water (a lot) and a vitamin. I'd also had orange juice and woke up and had more water and some advil, and I was doing ok after only 4 hours of sleep.

I've found that really nothing works for me. Drinking water during the drinking helps, but the next day, if I've overindulged, I'm done for. Sleep and liquid help, Tylenol cuts the headache a bit, but I just need time.

I hope this goes under your "interesting" food (not "scary") but I swear by menudo (Mexican tripe soup) - it worked wonders after many tequila and mezcal-fuelled nights in Guadalajara. Because menudo is not always available, substitute any deep-scented, rich broth-based soup: Vietnamese Pho, Korean Samgyetang (chicken, ginseng) or Yuke-Jaong (beef), ThaiTom Yum Goong etc. I think, basically any spicyj, fragrant soup will do. Yeah, hydrating while drinking is an excellent idea (but who remembers?) – In the absence of menudo, reach for the bottle of advil.

Pho & a beer.

the only cure for a hangover is the day after the day after.
