If someone ask "what do you want on your burger?"??????

Suppose there are endless ingredients..what would you put on your dream burger?

Theres a place in atlanta that puts jalepenos and cheddar goldfish on top of them :)

Oh hey, what a coincidence. I just posted on my livejournal a best California burgers entry. Lots of the places I listed on there allow you to put different toppings on there - for example Tommy's is famous for their chili burgers, and Fatburger lets you put stuff like eggs on them. But The Counter in Palo Alto truly has the greatest number of options, including Roasted Red Peppers, Dried Cranberries, Roasted Garlic Aoli, etc. The Roasted Garlic Aoli rocks, by the way.

Oh, I didn't really answer the question, did I? Onion rings, roasted garlic aoli sauce and lots of fresh veggies.

Blue cheese, bacon, and sauteed onions. Provolone and sauteed mushrooms. Cheddar/American with raw red onion, pickle, and ketchup. In other words, cheese and stuff.

red onion, tomato, sour gherkin, radish sprouts, grated carrots, rocket, ketchup and garlic mayonnaise. but (and I know this will seem like a sacrilege to many) I want it on a tofu-lentil burger with a seven grain bun.

sauteed mushrooms, Raw red onions , bacon(crispy), lettuce and Dijon mustard

if it's kobe beef, nothing but the bun!

Bleu cheese, bacon, floured and lightly fried onion strings, mayo, horseradish and catsup on a grilled onion roll with the burger cooked medium.

Cave aged Gruyere cheese, romaine, and caramelized onions. Nothing else. If there was a heaven that would be it.

char broiled thick cut bacon, bun fried in butter, roquefort, onion marmalade & arugula, tomatoes when in season, 70% sirloin to 30% brisket 10oz patty cooked in a castiron pan

Muenster, jalepenos, avocado and bacon. Plus the bun needs to be browned.

american cheese, thousand island dressing and lettuce with a toasted bun.

swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato and mayonaise with a toasted bun

Great question, Kbear. It's after my own heart! A thickish slice of raw onion, two slices of American cheese, a few pickle chips, and a judicious schmear of ketchup. Luckily, those toppings are readily available at most burger joints. I do like the idea of jalapeƱos and Goldfish crackers. Would give it nice texture.

How about...

Tomato Confit...

Mushroom Duxelles in Cream Sauce...

Sauce Bearnaise...

Bacon...

AND Caramelized Onions?

Rendevous at Burger Mountain

Of course, some folks would tear my head off for using ketchup on a burger!

caramelized onion, kunzler bacon, cajun mayo, jack cheese
