Barcelona
I'm going to Barcelona for a long weekend--any food/restaurant recommendations?

Cal Pep. It's a seafood tapas place in the Born. You have no choice in what you order, but don't worry , Cal will take care of you--it's all delicious and fresh. Sit at the bar. Restaurant L'Económic, also in the Born is a good bet for lunch. It's an inexpensive fixed-price place, cozy and delicious filled with locals. Lots of good tapas stands can also be found at La Boqueria, Barcelona's covered market. Just stay away from Las Ramblas (tourist central) and you'll be fine.

Ditto on La Boqueria. We spent several hours wandering through there. We grabbed a fantastic lunch of sauteed clams and octopus at a stand indoors, and on another occasion bought a load of food and took it up to Park Guell, north of the city.

A resounding second on Cal Pep - I had one of the best meals of my life there (I have some pictures of my meal up at http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=cal%20pep&w=96865981%40N00).
